The way we see it, assembling a dream team of wedding vendors is a lot like cooking.
You can’t make a good soup without good ingredients. And the same goes for forming your vendor team. You have to start with the best quality in order to get the best results.
As wedding planners, we’re responsible for creating the perfect day for our clients, and that means choosing the right vendors. But so much more goes into the process than simply handing you a list of people and directing you to pick one. If that were the case, we would end up with cookie-cutter weddings.
Instead, our approach takes into account the one essential ingredient that binds the whole event together…YOU!
Keep reading to find out how our guided process works and what you can expect.
What Does a Dream Wedding Vendor Team Look Like?
All of our preferred vendors have these things in common:
- They’re experienced, kind, hardworking people who are invested in your event.
- They show up as if you were their family.
- They have a passion for what they do and get excited about each wedding.
- They’re involved in the process, and it’s a collaborative effort.
- They add their expertise.
Most importantly, they’re team players and understand that not one of us is as good as all of us are together.
How We Select Vendors to Bring Your Vision to Life
First, we uncover your vision by getting to know you and asking questions. For example, “What makes you happy? What do you want and not want? Tell us about the weddings you’ve been to and what you liked/didn’t like about them. And it doesn’t have to be a wedding. What about a restaurant experience or a concert? We can pull inspiration and ideas from just about anything.”
We’ll also ask questions about your priorities around photography, flowers, entertainment, etc. From all of this information, we can get a feel for who your vendors should be based on style, personality, and budget. Then, we’ll curate a list of the best matches and share our recommendations.
You’ll typically find that the people in our inner circle are vendors we know and love. But this doesn’t mean we aren’t open to working with someone we haven’t worked with before.
For example, if you’re interested in the photographer who recently captured your friend’s wedding, we’re happy to reach out and ensure they’re a good fit.
We’ll look at their portfolio to get a general sense of their work. Then we’ll contact them to discuss their approach and process, ask about their experience, and possibly inquire about references – like whether they have worked with other planners in the past.
The main goal is to be sure they’re qualified, both as a photographer and as a team player.
As the wedding day approaches, it’s important to communicate regularly with our creative partners. So we’ll schedule regular check-ins to make sure everyone is on track and to address any issues or concerns that arise.
Building a Dream Team Starts With Your Planner
It should come as no surprise that the first vendor you should hire is your wedding planner! With us by your side, you won’t have to spend hours doing your own vendor research or keeping the team organized once you’ve (fingers crossed) found the right partners.
We handle everything from start to finish so you can enjoy the planning process – and, more importantly – your wedding day.
You only get to do this once, and there are no dress rehearsals. So let’s make sure the stage is set perfectly, and the players are top-notch! Inquire now, and let’s get started.
